WHMIS 2015 provides workers with health and safety information for hazardous products that are used in the workplace. Labeling and product classification are covered. We can custom tailor this program to the specific chemical that you have or produce in your workplace.
This is a customized Keen and Associates training program (4 hours theory or 6 hours theory and practical) which outlines the basic requirements needed to evaluate a spill and making the appropriate decisions in a timely manner. As such, it includes consideration for the capabilities of all people involved in trying to contain or clean it up, as well as Personal Protective Equipment options, and Reporting Requirements.
This program is available as both an in-class presentation and an E-Learning module. The in-class course can be tailored to the needs of the client depending on whether they are looking for Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) for Ground shipments by itself or perhaps for ground shipments involving Radioactive Packaging. Both the in-class and E-Learning programs cover topics that will provide each participant with a working knowledge of TDG.
This program covers the definition of Arc Flash, the codes and standards related to Arc Flash, Personal Protective Equipment as well as what can be done to prevent Arc Flash from occurring.
The Fire Warden Training program outlines the requirements needed to perform the duties of a Fire Warden under the Ontario Fire Code. It includes information on the responsibilities of the Employer, Supervisor and Employee’s under the Code.
It also demonstrates Fire Safety, including numerous hazards to be aware of, and advises how to incorporate fire prevention into the workplace.
Fire extinguisher training is also available. Classes of fire, extinguisher selection and proper use are covered.
This 7 hr program involves classroom and hands on use of a mobile elevating work platform (MEWP). The classroom portion covers the CSA standard and applicable sections of Ontario Reg 213/91. Where possible, workplace specific equipment will be covered. Case studies will look at accidents, root causes and prevention of accidents.
The practical portion will cover pre use inspection and function checks. Students will perform inspection and safely operate a MEWP in order to complete the course.
This program covers the basics of atmospheric testing, what are normal atmospheric reading, maximum and minimum safe levels for Oxygen, maximum safe levels of other gases, bump testing, calibration and the difference between the two.
We will cover your specific detectors so your employees know how to use their equipment properly and interpret the information correctly.

This Lock Out / Tag Out training program outlines the basic requirements of the Occupational Health and Safety Act, O.Reg. 851, and more specifically, CSA Regulation Z460-05, ‘Control of Hazardous Energy – Lockout and Other Methods’, both of which stipulate the necessity for the controlling of hazardous energy associated with potentially harmful machines, equipment, or processes.
This course covers what Asbestos is, Where it is used, the different types, Hazards associates with it, Roles and responsibilities, and Personal Protective Equipment required as well as the different types of work that can be conducted with asbestos present.
